With the Amigos del Mar Dive Center located on the dock in front of our hotel, access to the world’s second-largest barrier reef is just a short boat ride away. Explore renowned dive sites like the famous Belize Blue Hole, the Aquarium, Half-moon Caye, or the Cathedral. Popular sighting includes sea turtles, eagle rays, stingrays, nurse sharks, jewfish, moray eels, dolphins, and humpback whales. The manta ray and spotted eagle ray are fairly common, and divers can reasonably expect to see many of these magnificent creatures. Hammerhead sharks, Caribbean reef sharks, and even the oceanic white tip sharks are seen occasionally, but these lucky sightings are rare.
