How do I arrive at the hotel from the airport?

The island’s airstrip is located in San Pedro Town, which is 5 minutes from the Mayan Princess hotel. Guests arriving at the airport can take a taxi to the hotel for only $10 US for a maximum of 4 people.

Is there a restaurant at the hotel?

While we do not have a restaurant in the hotel, there are many restaurants next door and in walking distance.

How do I get around once on the island?

All amenities are within comfortable walking distance of the Mayan Princess. Also, many taxis operate around the San Pedro hotel district or guests may choose to rent golf carts or bicycles through the hotel concierge.

What items/clothing should guests bring to the island?

  • Light, breathable clothing
  • Sandals
  • Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen
  • Bathing suit!
  • Formal wear not required
  • There are many shopping options if you forget anything

Is San Pedro safe for tourists?

San Pedro is very safe for tourists and there is a helpful and friendly tourist police force and information desk on the island to help visitors.

Is the water safe to drink from the taps?

We recommend purchasing drinking water, which is easily available, or refill your drinking water upon request (charge incurred). We would be happy to make arrangements to stock your room prior to your arrival. Complimentary drinking water is provided in your accommodation upon your arrival

Can I exchange money on the island and what is the exchange rate?

There are several banks and professional money-changing offices throughout San Pedro. The exchange rate is $2 Belizean = $1 USD. Either currency is widely accepted.

How far in advance do I need to cancel my reservation to receive a refund?

All reservation cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the date of arrival are entitled to a full refund. All cancellations done within the 30-day period are nonrefundable.

What languages are spoken by your hotel staff?

The hotel staff is fluent in English, Spanish, and Belizean Creole.

Is this a children-friendly resort?

Of course! There are just as many fun activities for children as there are for adults. In fact, children up to age 12 stay for free!
