How Do I Get From the San Pedro Airport to the Mayan Princess Hotel?
The island’s local airport is in San Pedro Town, 5 minutes from the Mayan Princess Hotel. Taxis are readily available at the airport and generally the easiest way to get to the hotel. Costs vary based off the number of passengers, but are typically about $10-$15 USD each way.
Is There a Restaurant at the Mayan Princess Hotel?
While we do not have a restaurant, many excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance.
How do I Get Around Once on the Island?
All amenities are within comfortable walking distance of the Mayan Princess. Alternatively, many taxis operate around the San Pedro hotel district. Guests may also rent golf carts or bicycles through the hotel concierge.
What Items/Clothing Should Guests Bring to the Island?
- Light, breathable clothing.
- Sandals.
- Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen.
- Bathing suit!
- Formal wear is not required.
There are many shopping options if you forget anything.
Is San Pedro Safe for Tourists?
San Pedro is very safe for tourists, and there is a helpful and friendly tourist police force and information desk on the island to help visitors.
Is the Water Safe to Drink from the Taps?
We recommend purchasing drinking water, which is widely available, or refilling your drinking water upon request (charge incurred). We can also pre-stock your room upon request (charge incurred). Complimentary drinking water is present in your accommodation upon your arrival.
Can I Exchange Money on the Island, and What is the Exchange Rate?
There are several banks and professional money-changing offices throughout San Pedro. The exchange rate is $2 (BZD) = $1 (USD). Either currency is widely accepted.
How Far in Advance do I Need to Cancel my Reservation to Receive a Refund?
All reservation cancellations made more than 30 days before the date of arrival are entitled to a full refund. All cancellations done within 30 days before arrival are nonrefundable.

What Languages Are Spoken by Your Hotel Staff?
The hotel staff is fluent in English, Spanish, and Belizean Creole.
Is this a Children-Friendly Hotel?
Of course! There are just as many fun activities for children as for adults. Children up to age 12 stay for free!
